Privacy Policy

Verdaris ("we," "us") provides a spray-planning and pesticide-application compliance platform for golf courses and turf operations, consisting of a web application (Verdaris) and a mobile application (Sprayvo). This policy covers both.
Information we collect
Account information: your email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you create an account.
Organization and property data: the name and details of your organization, its properties, and their jurisdiction (state and, where applicable, county) — jurisdiction is collected because pesticide recordkeeping requirements vary by state and county, and the app uses it to determine which fields a compliance record needs to carry.
Spray plan and application data: the products, rates, and areas you plan and record applications against, including applicator name and any professional license number you choose to enter, weather conditions, and quantities used.
Field photos: only if you choose to attach one to a field record, using your device's camera or photo library. Photos are stored as evidence attached to that record.
Device and sync data: to support offline use, the mobile app registers your device and maintains a local, durable log of the actions you take (starting an application, attesting a mix, recording an application) that syncs to our servers when you have a connection.
What we do not collect
We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDK. We do not access your device's location (the app asks you to select your property's jurisdiction manually — it does not read GPS or location services). We do not sell your data to anyone, for any purpose.
How we use your information
To provide the service itself: building and syncing your spray plans and field records, computing rate math and depletion forecasts, and generating the compliance reports you request. To authenticate you and enforce that your organization's data is only visible to members of that organization. We do not use your data to train any AI model beyond the specific, disclosed use of a vision model to help transcribe pesticide product labels you or our moderation team submit to our shared chemical catalog — your organization's private planning and field-record data is never used for that purpose.
Data retention and corrections
Safety-relevant records in this system — chemical catalog data, field application records, and mix attestations — are append-only by design: a correction is recorded as a new, versioned entry alongside the original rather than overwriting it, and the full history remains visible to your organization. This is a deliberate safety and audit-trail property of the system, not an oversight — it means a "delete" request against this class of data is honored as a clearly marked correction or void, not a silent erasure, so that a compliance record can never be quietly altered after the fact. Account-level information (your email, password) can be corrected or removed on request.
Data sharing
Your organization's data (properties, plans, inventory, field records) is visible only to members of your organization — never to another organization, and never to the public. The chemical product catalog itself (product names, active ingredients, label-derived safety data) is shared reference data, the same for every organization, and contains no tenant-specific information.
Third-party services
We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the application and store field photos and label images. We use Anthropic's Claude API solely to help transcribe pesticide product label text submitted to our shared catalog (see above) — your organization's private data is never sent to this or any other third-party AI service.
